Released in August 2018, the Fujifilm XF10 features a 24MP APS-C sensor, a fixed 8.5mm F2.8 lens (28mm equiv.), a91-point hybrid autofocus system with an autofocus joystick, and a fixed rear touchscreen.
The camera can burst up to 6fps, shooting in JPG and RAW formats. Videos can be shot in 1080 at up to 60 fps, or in 4K at 15fps. It can be remotely operated through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth LE. pictures and videos are stored on a single SDXC card slot. The XF10 also features a built-in flash, a microphone entry, and 11 film emulations. The camera weighs 279 g with its 330 shots lasting battery and SD card included.
So what do the critics think of the Fujifilm XF10?
Overall most reviews say that the Fujifilm XF10 is a capable and well-priced camera. The picture quality is decent and the controls are accessible to amateurs and beginners alike. The faux-leather grip gives an appreciable vintage touch. For a point-and-shoot camera, the XF10 offers enough controls and options to stay relevant against the ever-evolving phone cameras.
The camera is still too limited for professional use. The sensor is not very effective in low light settings, and the absence of optical image stabilization makes it difficult to get a sharp handheld night shot. The autofocus can lack speed and precision on moving objects. The 4K video mode is gimmicky and can’t really be used due to its poor frame rate. The absence of a hot shoe will prevent the use of an external flash or an electronic viewfinder.
