Here’s a roundup of all the Panasonic Lumix GX85 (GX80) reviews, ratings and impressions from the web. Discover its strengths and weaknesses here!

Released in 2015, the Panasonic Lumix GX85, or GX80 in Europe, features a 16MP Four Thirds MOS sensor, a pop-up flash, a 5-axis image stabilization with Dual I.S., a Depth from Defocus autofocus system, a 1.04M dots tilting touchscreen and a 2.76M dots field sequential EVF.

The camera can shoot pictures in JPG and RAW format, bursting at 8.6 fps in continuous mode. It can record 4K videos at up to 30 fps. It can be remotely operated via Wi-Fi. All recordings go to a single UHS-II compatible SD card slot. The battery will last for 290 shots and can be recharged via a USB power bank. Altogether, the camera weighs 426 g.

So what do the critics think of the Panasonic Lumix GX85 (GX80)?

Overall most reviews say that the Panasonic Lumix GX85 keeps being an attractive camera, years after its release. The image quality is appreciable, even though the 16MP sensor is definitely outdated. The stabilization and autofocus are doing a good job. The camera is a solid choice for entry level 4K video shooting, despite not being able to shoot in 60 fps.

Its very affordable price tag make it perfect for artists on a budget. The overall performances are not as good in low light settings, which is a common issue of Four Third sensors. The absence of weatherproofing can be a drawback on rainy days or tropical settings, as can be the very low battery life.
