Websites Reviews

Camerajabber.com★★★★ – ‘If you’re a Canon APS-C format camera user looking to upgrade to a full-frame camera the 6D Mark II makes a great choice. It’s significantly more affordable than the 5D Mark IV and has a wealth of useful features, plus the vari-angle screen is much nicer to use than a fixed one when you’re shooting video.’

Cameralabs.com★★★½ (Recommended) – ‘There’s no denying the overall handling from the excellent touch interface, easy Wifi, effortless GPS tagging and leading movie autofocus, to the crisp, clean and satisfying photo quality.”

Dpreview.com – 80% – ‘As it should be, the EOS 6D II is a better camera than its predecessor in almost every way. With plenty of resolution, respectable burst shooting speeds and pleasing Canon color, it’s a camera that’s capable of producing great images in a variety of situations. Despite this, it is simply overshadowed by competition that is made up of more capable cameras at similar or lower prices.’

Digitalcameraworld.com★★★★

Ephotozine.com★★★★½ (Recommended) – ‘If you already have the lenses, and want to upgrade from another Canon DSLR, then the 6D Mark II will make a great full-frame Digital SLR. The Canon EOS 6D Mark II does everything asked of it, delivering great image quality. ‘

Pcmag.com – 3.5/5 (GOOD) ‘The Canon EOS 6D Mark II improves upon its predecessor with 26-megapixel resolution, improved Live View focus, and a 45-point autofocus system, but its sensor isn’t as good as competing models.’

Photographyblog.com★★★★

Photoreview.com.au – 8.9/10 (Editor’s Choice)

Trustedreviews.com★★★★ – ‘The cameras single SD card slot at the side rules out any possibility of backing up files to a second card, spilling over to a second card when one becomes full, or assigning one card to the purpose of stills recording and the other to video.’

Thephoblographer.com – 4/5

Techradar.com★★★★ ‘Canon has certainly made the EOS 6D Mark II a more well-rounded and better specified camera than the EOS 6D, but it’s not without its issues. These niggles dull what is otherwise a very nice full-frame DSLR that’s a pleasure to shoot with. It will certainly please Canon users looking to make the move into full-frame photography, but others might be better served elsewhere.’

Tomsguide.com★★★½

Phototrend.fr – 8/10

Lesnumeriques.com – ‘The 6D Mark II is a nice evolution of the previous model and has lived up to our expectations with a revisited and efficient autofocus and a burst worthy of the name, a good electronic noise management up to ISO 6400 with more pixels, a swivel and touch screen… On other points, Canon is still too shy, especially when it comes to video or optical aiming.’
